COMPAGNIA ATERBALLETTO is the principal Dance Company for production and distribution in Italy and the first permanent ballet producing body apart from Opera House companies.

Since 1997 the Artistic Direction is entrusted to MAURO BIGONZETTI, who started and developed his career as performer and choreographer with Aterballetto, from 1982 to 1993, standing out as one of the main soloists and accomplishing his first choreographic experiences that have led him to develop collaborations with the most prestigious International Companies.

He was born in Naples.While was a student, he drew the attention by joining the festival of Neapolitan song in 1956. He won that festival with the song "Sarra chi sa" in 1959.

Fausto Cigliano's passion for music was born a few years before, when he, who came from a very big family, was given a guitar as a present by a schoolfriend. The guitar itself is his permanent friend in his relationship with the world of Italian pop music.

Founded from the famous roman Cultural Association "I Concerti dell'Arcadia", founded in 1972 by great musicians such as Guido Agosti, Rodolfo Caporali, Franco Ferrara, Hedda Illy, Ferruccio Vignanelli, Dr. Luigi Ronga (of the Academy "Dei Lincei" - teacher in history of music at the University of Rome) and Dr. Francesco Gabrielli (of the Academy "Dei Lincei" and keeper of the Academy of the Arcadia), the "Trio Arcadia di Roma", besides the "Duo Arcadia di Roma", the Orchestra "I Concerti dell'Arcadia" and the Musical Editions "Concerti dell'Arcadia", devotes itself to the baroque, classical and romantic repertory, as well as italian, european and south-american music of the XXth century. Since many years it has been concentrated on rediscovering unpublished or unknowing italian and foreign composers.

Marco  Sollini,  an Italian pianist who studied under maestros Scala,  Oppitz,  Gelber  and  Weissenberg,  in  1985  was awarded 1st prize in the Imola  “from  Bach  to  Bartok”  competition.

Salvatore Barbatano is a young calabrian pianist who studied with Prof. Loredana Brigandi at the Conservatorium “F. Cilea” in Reggio Calabria. He was graduated from the Conservatorium Musica “S.Cecilia” in Rome with outstanding mark.
