Elena Bonelli and Ensemble

 She is known as "the voice of the Italians in the world" for her concerts. She has become the official voice of the Italian national anthem, that Elena interpreted accompanied by the 130 musicians of the Banda dell'Arma dei Carabinieri. This event becomes then, under the direction of Sergio Bardotti, a CD released in 1 million and half copies in Italy and all over the world.

Founded in 1982 by Stefano Sovrani, the Nova Amadeus Symphony Orchestra has always been characterized by the youth of its members, and over the years we have gained wide professional experience in the principal Italian Theatres, implementing all types of musical and theatrical forms. Since 1993 we have received grants from the Italian Ministero per i Beni Culturaii, with which we are able to sustain an intense level of musical activity in association with the lyric competition Mattia Battestini. In 1997, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Pakistan Republic, we performed in Karachi dan Islamabad; this was defined by critics as the major cultural event of the year. In December 2000 at the Costanzi Theatre in Rome, we were invited to give the first world performance of the opera L'Eroica Y Sun Sin' by G. Mazzuca and N. Samale. In the same month at the Brancaccio in Rome we gave another first world performance, this time of the opera 'II Mago' by N. Colabianchi. In 2001, at the Festival in Pasqua and before an audience of thousands, we performed the monumental Vierge by J. Massanet conducted by J. Collado and with special guest star Moserrat Caballè. The Nova Amadeus Symphony is the official accompanying orchestra to several international music competitions: Gran Prix W.A. Mozart in Lausanne, F. Chopin in Rome, and Citti in Senigallia.

The « Ensemble Belliniano » is composed by a quintet of musicians, whose members currently hold positions of lead instrument in the Orchestra of “Teatro Massimo Bellini” (Catania), and the piano duo Maria Grazia Scarlata-Corrado Ratto. Both the pianists teach at the Academy of Music “Vincenzo Bellini” (Catania).All the members of the ensemble have had considerable artistic experience.

The Quintet have been playing together for 10 years, during which time they have built up a huge repertoire, performed at important music festivals to an enthusiastic public and to critical acclaim. A recent addition to the quintet is the use of two pianos, or one piano played by two people-four hands. The aim is to present classical pieces arranged by contemporary composers, offering the listener new sound sensations. Thanks to the collaboration between interpreters and composers, the Ensemble can perform original works written especially for them. As soloists, or as chamber groups, they have been invited to participate in numerous prestigious institutions, such as: “Amici della Musica” of Arezzo, Viareggio, Ferrara; Associazione “Alfredo Casella” of Turin; “Mille e una nota” of Rome; “Serate Musicali” , “Società del Giardino”, “ISU Bocconi” and  Fininvest of Milan; “Accademia di Studi Pianistici” of Udine; “Società dei Concerti Lyceum” of Como; “Giuseppe Garibaldi” theatre of Enna; “Giovine Orchestra Genovese” of Genoa; Accademia Filarmonica of Messina; “Società dei Concerti” of Castiglion Fiorentino (AR); “S.Massimiliano Kolbe” auditorium of Varese; “Amici Nuovo Carlo Felice” of Genoa; “Parvum” theatre of Alessandria; “Amici della Musica” and “Euterpe” association of Voghera; “Musicanovi” festival of Novi Ligure; Ministry of Culture of Malta; the festival “Concerti all’Abbazia” of S.Fruttuoso di Camogli; “Note d’Estate” of Bordighera; “Teatro Sangiorgi” and “SCAM - Società Catanese Amici della Musica” of Catania.

They have played with orchestras such as the “Teatro alla Scala” Orchestra of Milan, “Teatro dell’Opera” Orchestra  of  Rome, “Orchestra Filarmonica della Scala” of Milan, “Teatro dell’Opera” Orchestra  of Genoa, “Orchestra Sinfonica della RAI” of Rome, “Orchestra Filarmonica” of Udine, “Orchestra da Camera” of Mantova, “Orchestra da Camera Tartini” of Padova, “Teatro San Carlo” Orchestra of Naple, “Symphonic Orchestra of the State of Bacau”, etc.

During 2002, under the patronage of Italian Institute of Culture, the Ensemble Belliniano played in Lithuania, at the “Music Festival – Birzai 2002”, in Birzai, at the “Vilniaus Rotuse” and “Teatro di Dramma Russo of Lituania” in Vilnius; in Brazil, at the “Carlos Gomes” theatre in Vitória, at the “Teatro Municipal” in Niterói, at the “Teatro São Pedro” in  São Paolo, at the “Teatro Municipal” in Santo Andrè and at the “Pinacoteca Benedito Calixto” in Santos; in Turkey, in Izmir, at the “Centro della Cultura dell’Università Hacettepe” in Ankara and at the “Teatro dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura” in Istanbul. Recently the Ensemble Belliniano played in Malta at the “Manoel Theatre” and in Tokyo at the “Junko Koshino-atelier” and at the Concert Hall of the Italian Institute of Culture. All the members have won awards in national and international competitions, are regularly invited to judge in international competitions, and have been asked to organize proficiency courses.
